Welcome to Belmont Nature Trail
The Belmont nature trail exists along the remains of an old railway line shut by Beeching in 1960s. Since then it has slowly re -wilded itself and has become home to an abundance of wildlife and plants. It is about a mile long and takes about 20 mins to walk it. It runs alongside Wealdstone cemetery and Byron park. These nearby open spaces and tall poplar trees attract parakeets, jackdaw and other interesting birds to this stretch. Foxes, voles, deer, hedgehogs and badgers have been seen along the trail.

A group for all that know and enjoy the walk that was the old Stanmore Village to Harrow & Wealdstone Railway. Also for anyone that has a similar trail or local park in disrepair and a love of urban nature.
Belmont trail is a real place, and also all those beautiful areas that need a bit more management for us to enjoy it too.
