Harrow Parks Forum (HPF)

Harrow Parks Forum (HPF) is a community-led volunteer network representing all Friends and Park User Groups across the London Borough of Harrow (LBH). Established in 2015, our aim is simple: to support, protect and improve Harrow’s parks, recreation grounds and green spaces so that they remain beautiful, welcoming and well-used by everyone in our borough.

We bring together local groups who care passionately about their green spaces — from nature reserves and playgrounds to open lawns and community gardens — fostering collaboration, sharing best practice, and amplifying local voices. As a collective forum, we work in partnership with LBH, helping to shape decisions that affect the quality, use and future of our parks, and acting as a valued voice within the community.

HPF plays a key role in:

  • Advocating for parks and open spaces – engaging with the council and stakeholders to influence policies, resources and long-term planning.

  • Supporting park groups – providing guidance, training, resources and encouragement to both established and newly forming Friends and User Groups.

  • Connecting communities – creating a platform for groups to share ideas, organise events, and learn from each other.

  • Consultation and involvement – acting as a trusted consultative voice between community volunteers and local government on park matters.

Harrow’s parks are vital to the health, wellbeing and social fabric of our borough. Together, we strive to ensure these spaces are safe, attractive, ecologically diverse, and enjoyed by people of all ages.
